Education

The DAR is passionate about the education of America's youth and supports a variety of different programs, contests and awards to help further this goal. The DAR website offers many different resources that teachers may find useful when they are teaching subjects such as the Revolutionary War, family history/genealogy, the colonial period and early America. Teachers and students are encouraged to explore the available resources and take advantage of the different programs DAR offers.

Patriotic Endeavors

For 125 years, the Daughters of the American Revolution has carried the torch of patriotism. Love of country was the purpose- ancestors who fought for freedom was the bond. These were the foundational underpinnings that connected women, uniting them to form an organization that would honor heritage and support endeavors that preserve the freedoms of our citizens, young and old. Patriotism is the foundation of the many DAR activities that take place in local communities across the country.

Cathedral of the Pines Service

The Cathedral of the Pines in Rindge, New Hampshire, is a national memorial dedicated to the memory and honor of all Americans who serve the nation. NHSODAR has hosted an annual Memorial Service at the majestic outdoor chapel since 1947. The Cathedral of the Pines event offers people from around the state, and across the country, the opportunity to come together for a time of fellowship and inspiration. Each year, a National Society officer or other distinguished guest, brings an inspiring message for guests to contemplate.

New Hampshire Chapters

Organized in 1892, the New Hampshire State Organization (NHSODAR) continues to work tirelessly to uphold and promote the objectives of the National Society. Trish Jackson is our 51st State Regent.

The NHSODAR is made up of twenty-one chapters from across the state. We actively seek new members in our service organization who are women 18 years or older, regardless of race, religion, or ethnic background, who can prove lineal descent from a patriot of the American Revolution.
